The Kenwood range of portable radios has been available for a long time now and this TK-2207 radio is a portable radio light enough to fit in a pocket but chunky enough to be worked while wearing gloves. Very simple in design and can be programmed by us with up to 16 channels. Changing channels has a voice ident to let you know which channel you are on without having to look at the knob markings - a handy feature. Battery life is long and they can be configured to work through a repeater for extended range, or they can work direct radio to radio.

They are cheap enough to be used in non-business applications such as schools clubs and other outward bound organisations.

They can be programmed over a large range, so subject to licensing can be set to operate in the business, amateur and marine bands. They have a normal 2-pin accessory socket so can be interfaced to earpieces, remote microphones and headsets.
