This is the newly released RT-37 portable VHF radio - we currently have it under the Radtel branding, recent will follow in the summer.

 

They are IPX7 waterproof, use Micro-B USB charging connection - so not just the usual supplied wall charger, but charging from your computer or other common source with easily available cables (not supplied).

 

They float and flash if dropped in water. Ideal for Kayak users inshore.

 

High Power output is 5W, and the Low Power setting is 1W.

 

Instant access to channel 16, and the small size fits easily in the pocket.

Please note this radio includes channel 80 (UK Marina Channel) but does not operate on Ch 37(M1) 157.850MHz or Ch (M2) 161.425MHz) however, if you need access to the full range of UK Marine channels - please ask BEFORE purchase. Otherwise the radio operates on the standard marine channels, used all over the UK.

 

The important feature is the USB connector has a water resistant pressure fitted cover - so there is no battery compartment seal to maintain, and the only two water access points are the screw covered top connector and the side mount USB charging point.
