These radios are a bit of a shock for two reasons. Firstly they're tiny and will go anywhere, but second the radio has proper menus and they're clustered in sections. You can dial in things from the microphone, and enter them using buttons on the radio itself - but the feature set is huge. There are some very novel features. We powered one up and programmed in an analogue channel and a digital one and it's got decent audio quality in and out and no problem talking to the other DMR radios here. It's getting good press because it's dual band and tons of features. It feels good too, not the cheap plastic, but more reminiscent of the Motorola style plastic with a textured finish. It's solid. I've not even scratched the surface with the gadgets. If you want GPS, it has one, and a little dinky antenna on a SMA on the back. It's got a cooling fan on the rear, and SO239 socket. We've tried them on our business repeater and that works too rather nicely, so could easily do business radio too if you have the licence.

We've included the features from Kydera's advertising. Programming is much simpler via the USB cable supplied and the software is available on line - or if you're stuck we'll let you have the link for access. There are groups appearing already even though this is quite a new radio.
